I met this little guy sitting in the middle of the road on a rainy day. We called him Toadie (surprise?). He was about six inches long but stretched to a foot when he jumped! I gave him a little nudge with my shoe to help him on his way. It took only three jumps to clear the road and disappear into the hedge. Maybe I will see him again some day.

The new bird feeder is up and running, it is especially popular with the Cardinals.
Red winged black birds gathering in the same trees every year as my "Signs Of Spring".
This is more than just a plump cat soaking in the sun. This is about the fact that it got mild enough today to melt some of our many layers of snow. It felt wonderful to walk on the beach without a woolly hat and scarf. Even though we have a couple of snow falls coming this week today's respite from ice and windchills was much needed and Skitty took advantage of a soothing sunshine nap.
This guy (Great Dane?) was very sweet and stopped to pose for me...picking his best side.
This guy was full of beans, a pink balloon sitting on the sand caught his full attention.

This is our wild cat friend who every morning inundates my dog Willa with affection. Willa is unimpressed...she is willing to share her chicken treats with Miss Kitty, but no snuggling allowed!
