Sometimes Spring comes late but it's always worth waiting for!

Snow Drops

This is the same spot as last years "Signs Of Spring" Snow Drops. They are in a shady and protected area undisturbed by deer and rabbits who don't like to eat them. The Tulips however are a different story, even though they are growing quickly every morning I see new evidence of nighttime snacking. Everything is still so brown that these little patches of green are like treasures!

Crocus

I went for a bike ride today for the first time since last summer and it was awesome. I loved how the GPS sports watch I took with me said I burned four times as many calories as on my walks, making my cadbury creme egg feast obsolete! I brought my camera with me for "Signs Of Spring".

Amaryllis

I usually buy them in A&P , sometimes there's a choice of colours, this time they only had red. Very easy to grow, you put the bulb in the pot and surround it with the soil they provide. Water it then wait for it to grow. It takes about two weeks for it to get to about 2 inches (it seems like forever). But after that it seems like it grows every night, you can see the changes. One day you see the red bud pop out, the next night it pops out even more and within a couple of days it is in full bloom and it is beautiful. I love them and would love to have a window sill full of them.

"Miss Martha! Miss Martha!"

I was not stalking...honest! Another sign of spring, this time thanks to Martha Stewart for planting these daffodils outside her hedge so I could take a picture.

Snow Drops

I hope my bloggy friends will send me photos of their "signs of spring". An eight foot deer fence was between me and these snow drops.
